Financial contributions to student activities
The aim of this note is to explain the purpose behind the different contributions that are asked from parents with students at Engelska Skolan in Linköping. The objective of those contributions is to support different types of student activities. It is important to stress that all of those contributions are on a voluntary basis and all students have the right to participate to all events independent of a parent having contributed or not. The note has been prepared due to questions raised from mainly new parents of the school, but should also serve as a clarification for all parents. "Klasskassa"
Collections performed by the students themselves by means of different activities (baking, sales etc). Used for a trip or other jointly decided activity, normally at end of year 9. The “Klasskassa” is managed by a parent representative who is nominated at parent meeting. In accordance to Swedish School law, the school itself is not allowed to participate or support this type of activity.
PTA Membership fee
PTA contributes to a number of activities in the school.. The budget is from parent contributions only. Although all parents are members of PTA, the membership fee and other financial contributions are given voluntarily. The recommended membership fee for the school year 2023/2024 is SEK 200. If needed for specific activities PTA may ask for additional contributions. You can pay to PTA by Bankgiro 5829-5551 or by Swish 1230715425.
